Penis length
When soft length varies from 2 to 5 inches on average and when erects most penises lie between 5 to 7 inches. Some penises however do fall out of that range, either being shorter or longer.
The flaccid length, when the penis is not erect is a poor gauge of the erect length. When soft, there are two types of penises i.e. growers and showers. Growers have small flaccid which stays around 0% to 25% erect when soft while showers stays around 50% to 60% erect when soft. 79% of men are growers while 21% are showers. Smaller flaccid penises grow more in size when erect compared to large flaccid penises.
A penis is measured well when it is 100% erect, placing the ruler on the upper side of an erect penis. The standard measurements are taking Bone Pressed, which means pushing the ruler as close to the pubic bone as possible to eliminate the variance which might be caused by fat pad around the abdomen.
Penis Circumference
This is the measure of an erect penis around it, normally at its thickest point when erect. The circumference is called girth. Most penises are around 4 to 5 inches around. As long as a standard condom can fit in your penis, your girth is all right.
Penis Shape and Erection Angle
Most men have a slightly curved penis, which is normal. However, a big curvature may be an indication of peyronie’s disease, a disorder characterized by local fibrous scarring causing the erect penis to be bent to such a degree that it interferes with sexual intercourse. This usually makes sexual intercourse painful to either or both of the partners since the vagina cannot adapt to greater curvatures.
The following table shows how common various erection angles are for a standing male. In the table, zero degrees (0°) is pointing straight up against the abdomen, 90 degrees is horizontal and pointing straight forward, while 180 degrees would be pointing straight down to the feet. An upward pointing angle is most common.
